I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. 12 Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness! — Romans 11:11-12.
Paul asks whether Israel’s stumbling was for their downfall and asserts ‘Certainly not!’ The fall of the majority of Israel has led to the salvation and enrichment of the Gentiles. If Israel’s fall has led to riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more will the restoration of Israel underline the richness of salvation that the Gentiles experience.
