“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” ~ Matthew 7:13, 14.
Only a few people find the narrow way that leads to life. The majority are on the board way that leads to destruction. Jesus urges His hearers to enter by the narrow gate to find life. Jesus came to show us the narrow gate to enter by. The way is difficult but it leads to life.
“the difficult way” (v.14). — Presenting a rosy picture of the Christian life and minimizing that it is filled with trouble does not follow the lead of our Lord (Acts 14:22). It may be that the “false prophets” of v. 15 are especially those who deny that the way is narrow and hard.
