Jesus Heals Many

Jesus departed from there, skirted the Sea of Galilee, and went up on the mountain and sat down there.

Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.

So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel. — Matthew 15:29-31.

Here is our compassionate Savior waiting on the mountain and great multitudes stream up with their physically challenged, imperfect loved ones and friends and lay them at Jesus’ feet. They just know that He would heal them. Their faith is rewarded. He heals them all. He always heals all who would come to Him in faith (cf. Matthew 12:15).

And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all. — Luke 6:19.

The multitude marveled when they saw the miracles of Jesus and “glorified the God of Israel.” This was the purpose of Jesus performing miracles; to enable the people to realize who He is — the Son of God, the Messiah — and glorify God.

I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. — John 17:4.

May we see and realize Who our Lord is and glorify God for such a Wonderful Savior.
