For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. — Philippians 1:21.
The apostle Paul’s sole aim in life was to glorify Christ. Christ was the Supreme Goal of his life. The longer he lived, the more he had the opportunity to glorify his Savior and Lord. This was the sole purpose to which he dedicated his life.
If he were to die for his Lord and Savior, that would be gain for him because even in death he would glorify Christ and go on to be with his Master.
As followers of Christ, whether we live or die, may we have the same goal, zeal, and willingness to glorify Him always.
We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. – 2 Corinthians 5:8,9.
