God Controls

Exodus 3.14.

It Did Not Rain Till God said so…
“For the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.” — Genesis 2:5b,6.

God Said…
“For after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will destroy from the face of the earth all living things that I have made.” — Genesis 7:4.

God Could Start / Stop at Any Time…
“Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them, lest the LORD’s anger be aroused against you, and He shut up the heavens so that there be no rain, and the land yield no produce, and you perish quickly from the good land which the LORD is giving you.” — Deuteronomy 11:16-17.

Job said of God…
“He gives rain on the earth, And sends waters on the fields.” — Job 5:10.

God controls the weather and natural phenomena! He causes the sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust (Matthew 5:45). He sends the snow and ice (Psalm 147:16) as well as drought and heat. The author of Psalm 148 understood God’s power over the elements.

“Is anything too hard for the LORD?” — Genesis 18:14a.

“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” — Jeremiah 32:27.

John 8.58-N

So He came. He lived and died on our behalf. He was taken up to glory. He is always in control.

As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd. “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.” — John 10:15-18.
